Homemade seasonal healthy organic red beetroot hummus

This delicious beetroot hummus takes just a few minutes to prepare and will impress your guests!


Garlic oil

3 cloves garlic
2 tbsp sesame oil
2 tbsp olive oil


1 tin of chickpeas (approx. 200 g), rinsed and drained
1 cooked beetroot (approx. 150 g), diced
½ tbsp roasted sesame seeds
2 tsp lemon juice
½ tsp salt
a little pepper


Pomegranate seeds
Roasted sesame seeds
Little beetroot cubes


Step 1

In a pan, heat the olive oil and sesame oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and let it cook until it has a nice golden color. Let it cool.

Step 2

In a blender, blend the chickpeas with the other ingredients for the hummus.

Step 3

Add 3/4 of the garlic oil to the chic pea mixture. Mix well.

Step 4

Place the hummus in a nice bowl and put the rest of the garlic oil on top. Add any toppings you like, such as pomgranate seeds, roasted sesame seeds or small cubes of beetroot.

Step 5

Enjoy with some raw vegetables or pita bread!
